He has served as the Board of Directors of the Salvation Army of Danville and God's Storehouse, the Danville Science Center Foundation, and as Chair of the Southern Virginia Jefferson Scholar Selection Committee (University of Virginia).

Mr. Daniel has been a frequent lecturer for Virginia Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses in Litigation Practices, Workers' Compensation and Commercial Litigation and at the Annual Seminar for the Virginia Workers' Compensation Commission.
